Assign every function
Environmental chamber control and monitoring are related but separate functions. Before choosing hardware, decide what operates the room, what detects and communicates an abnormal condition, what records history, and what independently observes the program.
One device may support more than one function. The responsibility should still be explicit.

Complete the project handoff
- Required control functions are listed.
- High and low limits are defined where needed.
- Power failure and communication loss responses are assigned.
- Alarm recipients, acknowledgement, escalation, and after-hours action are named.
- Sampling interval, retention, export, time synchronization, access, backup, and review are defined.
- Independent monitoring is separated from the chamber controller where the program requires it.
- Owner-supplied items are separated from Norlake Scientific scope.
Remote visibility does not automatically satisfy program documentation needs. A monitoring function is useful only when its data, owner, response, and review process are defined.
Keep optional equipment explicit
Norlake Scientific can configure LogiTemp Plus, detachable tablet or remote access, alarm packages, chart recording, and monitoring options. These functions are optional or configuration-dependent. They are not inherent to every room and should be selected during engineering review.
Use these labels in the project brief:

Do not describe any option as standard without an approved source for the stated configuration. Do not treat a controller value as evidence of spatial uniformity. Spatial uniformity requires its own configuration-specific measurement plan.
